I can't believed I missed out on blogging for, I guess two weeks. Our computer had been "ill" lately, but I guess things are okay now, so I'm back to blogging again :)
Well, that little vacation when Ma'am Lynnie was away really helped me a lot in relieving my stress (well I guess a little, since we had to do the assignment about paragraph development and also in our other subjects; but it really helped a lot), so I guess I should thank you, Ma'am; and I hoped that the trip to Manila went well for you :) Funny, this blog should've been posted last week, but really, I had a hard time with our computer, being jammed and all; so I'm sorry Ma'am Lynnie.
For this week, we were taught on how to create strong thesis statements to aid us in our term paper (I guess you can call it that) writing; in the near future. In our activity last Friday, December 11, I found it a bit hard in recognizing the error of the five thesis statements and analyzing on how to change it to make it strong; but I guess, it's a learning process and I think I can make my way out of it.
It's almost Christmas break so let me be the first to greet you guys a Merry Christmas! God loves you :) Later guys! I still have to study for the prelim exams this week. I promise I'll keep in touch ("(^___^)

Stupid Miscue
I felt so happy last Monday as I was thinking about being exempted in classes because of a computer fare that lasted for two days (on Tuesday and Wednesday); but hey, I didn't want to miss classes so I still showed up during my scheduled classes on the said dates.
So what is this stupid miscue that I'm talking about? Well, it's about missing the one and only English class for the week :( I really hope I didn't miss anything important.
I missed class because I thought our make-up class in Humanitites would start at 5:30 and that we would be marked INC if we wouldn't attend, only to find out that it started six; shame :( Well, at least I heard Octava perform even for a short while; but still, I really wish that I could turn back time and attend that 4:30 class, and maybe I would've written even more stuff here.
Anyway, I don't feel so good. I feel a bit sad and lonely, but I'll get through this, hehe :) I'm gonna end this blog. . .
. . .here. God bless everyone :)

On Writing in English
When I was in elementary I used to speak and write in English. I can't remember how I stopped practicing it, but I miss it. It may be that, in highschool, it felt weird when you hang-out with a bunch of people who speak in Visayan, that I had to blend in and speak in the vernacular.
But just how important is English? More importantly writing in the said language? Well, for me writing in English helps us in the mastery of speaking English. Most people find it easier to write than to speak in English (which is also true in my case), so why not master this globally-used language by writing first before speaking it? In writing in English, you can express all of your thoughts; and you have the privileges to correct those grammatical errors that you come upon. Whereas when you speak and then commit a mistake, yes you can take it back, but believe me, the things you said are already stuck inside their heads; which is not a bad thing, except when you get laughed at. Well, of course, nobody's perfect; but hey, I'm just comparing the two here.
Writing can also be beneficial for future use. Take for example resumes when applying for jobs. You don't write or encode it in Visayan, you use English. When want to become a journalist, of course you have to master speaking and writing English.
So there you have it! You see, writing can be a lot of fun, the way you express your thoughts and how you feel; like what I'm doing right now (encoding is close to writing :)). But the thing about writing is that sometimes the readers actually misinterpret what you're trying to express.

So Here's The Thing
On the first meeting of English 2 I wasn't able to attend because I thought that there was still no classes on the first week; but I was so surprised to hear from my friends that they already met up with the teacher! I asked them "Who?", and I was even more surprised to hear that our teacher is Ma'am Lynnie, who happens to be our English 1 teacher last semester! Still, I'm so blessed to have her as our teacher :) But maaan, who would've thought that she would give us a jump start at this English 2 by handing us our first assignment: Come up wit any topic you want and within it are five sub-topics. I didn't know what it was for but I made it anyway. So, yeah, on the second meeting I attended English class. It was great to see old and new faces, same goes for Ma'am Lynnie. Turns out that assignment we made was for our first task in class; and that was to make a write-up. We were grouped according to our topics and, well, I was paired with Jib because there were only two of us who had a topic that was related to music. Our write-up was silky smooth. It wasn't hard to come up with ideas for our outline since both Jib and I are both inclined to music, so the activity went well :D And I learned a lot from it to; and since we are going to provide a thesis by the end of the semester, applying those things that I learned will aid me in accomplishing the semester-long task. I'm looking forward to even more fun and exciting activities that will enhance our skills in writing XD And it's great seeing you again, Ma'am Lynnie :)
